I made the kids day at the gas station today... #77 Tip a gas station attendant $20, they pump petrol for us in Oregon and lets face it... THAT is a service! I have lived in Oregon most of my life and I will be honest, I like my petrol pumped for me... the whole get out and pump the gas yourself thing I can do it, but it's not my favorite, its kinda dirty, smelly, and the weather can be horrible at times, plus my car is comfy (lazy I know but at least I am honest).
So, while out spending a fantastic day with my mom we pulled into her "regular" gas station and the guy pumping our gas was nice, had a great attitude, offered to clean the windscreen and was simply pleasant... so I thought Ahhh Ha! I know just what to do. I dug the cash out of my purse and when he gave me the receipt I handed him a nice little tip... I of course put the ten and the five on the inside so he at first only saw the few $1 bills on the outside... as I turned on the ignition to leave he dropped his jaw absolutely bewildered and said "Wow... Thanks!". I am sure he will be cleaning many a more windshields this week "just in case"...!
A unique challenge that inspires you to set & achieve your personal goals in life.

Water Bottles Everywhere #2
I have what my husband is now referring to as a PROBLEM... I like water bottles! This photo is just a few from my collection..... yes COLLECTION of water bottles. Thus on to goal #2... No more single use plastic water bottles... I generally have water with me ALL the time... in the car at my desk at work (then carried around with me to meetings and working with others etc.). I have one in my gym bag, and of course the extras for the in-case moments when you just might need a water bottle. I now have a nice little BPA free collection of bottles in a variety of different designs... rediculous really but I will say that a water bottle with a straw is a MUST for in the car... so although I cannot fully say that I have completed list item #2 I am off to a great start thanks to my little water bottle passion, the trick now is just always having one with me!

Here we go!
I have been inspired!
Let's start by being very honest about something....I am a list maker, constantly FULL of ideas... places to go, things to do, projects to start (better yet ACTUALLY finish!), yet I rarely actually complete most of the things on my list.
So here I was the other day wasting time on Facebook and saw a link posted by a friend I knew in high school, a girl I have always thought was pretty darn cool, and a truly genuine person! It was a link to her blog... 101 things to do in 1001 days. As I read through her goals I found myself thinking "what would be on my 101 in 1001 list".... so here it is! My 101 in 1001 list, a challenge and adventure for the next 2.75 years. One of my goals (#8) is to post a blog entry and photo for every goal completed......so.....check back often to see how I am doing (some accountability is good right?)......
Ready, Set,.......GO!
I hope that this blog, and expression of my adventure in this personal challenge may help inspire others to participate in their own 101 in 1001 challenge just as my friend has inspired me . There are lots of great resources, and plenty of others across the world who have ventured into this project before me. Check out www.dayzeroproject.com the website is filled with 101 in 1001 lists and a great place to find ideas when creating your own 101 list.
