101 Things in 1001 Days: November 2011

Starting up again...

It has been over a year since my last post... I have NOT given up on this project and have actually completed several of my 101 goals. The largest and most consuming of these has been having a baby. I will be doing my best to update this blog with overdue posts on those things I have accomplished over the last year or so and continue to post as I further complete this 101 in 1001 challenge.

101 things in 1001 days

1) Inspire 5 people to start a 101 in 1001 challenge
2) No more plastic waterbottles (At ALL)
3) Wash my car by hand 5 times (yep this is a challenge for me!)
4) See an I-Max movie
5) Host a cookie exchange party at Christmas time
6) Buy a gift card and mail it to a friend with no info on who its from or why (I love doing this!)
7) Go to a trivia or quiz night and contribute to the answers!
8) Write a blog post and include pictures for every goal completed
9) Go to the gym in the morning before work 3 days a week for a month
10) Be able to do 5+ pullups
11) Ride STP (Seattle to Portland bike ride)
12) Complete 30 days in a row of Pilates videos
13) Take tennis lessons- play an actual game of tennis
14) Complete 10 races (running, bicycle, tri etc. - 5k, 10k, half etc.)
15) Complete Wii Active 30 day challenge
16) Reach my weight loss goal
17) Get a massage
18) Go snow shoeing 10 times
19) Walk at lunchtime for one month (even if raining or sweltering heat)
20) Start tap dancing again
21) Swim 800 meters without stopping to catch my breath
22) Take Andy on a three day backpacking trip
23) Take dance lessons with my hubby
24) Summit 2 Cascade Mountains
25) write in prayer journal for 30 days- share with a girlfriend to strengthen christian sisterhood
26) Go on a mission trip
27) Read bible cover to cover
28) Volunteer at church
29) Memorize the chapters of the bible in order
30) Build an awesome sand castle
31) Go to the tulip festival in Woodburn
32) Use reusable shopping bags when grocery shopping for 6 months (then keep it up)
33) Refinish 1 piece of furniture
34) Visit Europe
35) Go on a cruise
36) Drink green tea every day for a month (love it and don’t drink it enough)
37) Visit 5 National parks (Bryce Canyon, Zion, Yellowstone must be included)
38) Host a wine tasting at my house for a few friends (might need help from my wine friends on this one!)
39) Make 15 different cupcakes out of a cupcake recipe book
40) Eat only local products for 2 weeks
41) Go a month with no take out or eating out
42) Catch a salmon (and keep it) on Dad's fishing boat
43) Get the Top of our wedding cake remade to enjoy with my husband on our anniversary
44) Identify 5 cocktails that I truly like and how to make them (I never know what cocktails to order when I go out, I usually drink beer)
45) Get up when the alarm goes off (NO snooze button) for one week
46) Complete black and while family history photo project in stairway
47) Organize important documents in fire proof lock box
48) List and document belongings, include photo inventory for insurance
49) Clean out closet and donate clothes etc every 6 months
50) Complete curtains for all windows in current house
51) See Revive again in concert and celebrate their success!
52) Start a Roth IRA
53) Pay off debt
54) Have a fully funded emergency fund
55) Send Birthday/anniversary cards to all family members for 1 year
56) Write a will
57) Go to the dentist (it's been a while)
58) See a drive in movie
59) Start a monthly girls get together (Bunco, pedi's, something)- intermix groups of friends
60) Print a favorite photo onto canvas and hang in house
61) Get a professional spray on tan- let's face it I am transparent…
62) Go to 2 shows at the Keller Auditorium- broadway, ballet, childrens theatre etc.
63) Finish putting together emergency kit for house, car, work
64) Encourage and help 2 friends set up 48hr emergency kits
65) Learn how to play craps
66) Organize a scavenger hunt with friends
67) Buy an SLR camera for my husband (hopefully he will share it with me!)
68) Start a compost bin (even though I live in a townhouse- and keep finding excuses not to)
69) Make 3 recipes out of Bon Appetite (or similar) magazine each month
70) No fast food for 6 months (then try to NEVER go back)
71) Send Christmas cards no later than December 15
72) Buy 5 "I saw this and thought of you" gifts and give them "just because"
73) Write 5 "thinking of you" letters and mail them SNAIL mail
74) Host a game night
75) Take vitamins daily for one month (see how I feel)
76) Don't buy anything new for 3 months (food not included)
77) Tip a gas station attendant $20- in Oregon they pump our gas for us- why don't we tip them?
78) Try 10 new/different/unusual fruits and/or vegetables
79) Find a geocache
80) Place a geocache
81) Sell a hand made item at a craft fair or on Etsy
82) Plant my own garden (community garden plot or at a new house if we can sell and move)
83) Dry and style my hair for 2 weeks (required for work days only)
84) Watch the sunrise over Mt. Hood and sunset at the beach in the same day
85) Host a girly tea party
86) Read 30 books ( at least 20 from the library)
87) Sing karaoke at a bar when people are actually there
88) Get two facials
89) Join a book club (or start one)
90) Spontaneously leave on a Friday for an unplanned weekend away
91) Have a baby (God willing)
92) Make a quilt to keep (not give away as a gift)
93) Clean my car once a week for a month
94) Earn a PHR (professional in human resources) certificate
95) Make 10 "fancy desserts" out of my dessert cookbook
96) Visit an observatory
97) Learn to identify 7 constellations
98) Sew a purse using pattern and fabric I already have but have not used
99) Sell 5 things I no longer use or need on ebay
100) for every goal I don’t complete donate $5
101) for every goal I DO complete set aside $5 for something special
